Light and shadow

This is verging on the abstract, but I must say I like the way the linework and the shadows turned out. Original is 14" x 17" (and this photograph distorts the proportions a little bit, because of how I took it.)

A different version of the same

Another version of the same image - I love the way the shadows turned out here. (The Toulouse-Lautrecesque pose is a fun touch too! Again, this is 14" x 17")

Ecstasy of Ste Therese (two takes)

I loved this image, and so did a number of takes of it - the one above turned out to be most like a quick pencil sketch, so I'm posting this first. (The others turned out a little more abstract.) As always, it is a monotype print, measuring 14 " x 17".
Probably my favorite in this series - don't you just love the look of complete abandon on her face? I loved the more dramatic lighting too. The measurements are the same as above.

A technical note: I think the images may be slightly out of proportion on my photographs, compared to the originals, because of the way I tend to take the pictures. Just something to keep in mind.

Different take on the same model

I loved this model so much I did another take on the exact same pose from the same angle in the same sitting - look at how different this feels, though. (The dimensions are the same as above.)

Lost in thought

I really love the way this turned out, both in terms of shadows and linework. I wonder what she's thinking about? (Again, the dimensions are 14" x 17".)

A closeup

Sometimes I just feel like going for the sculptural..Again, the original is 14" x 17".

Show in Princeton

This is just a quick preview of coming attractions : all going well, I will be having a show at the Nassau Street location of the Small World Cafe in Princeton in September and early October of this year. (Needless to say, I am very excited, and think that my artwork and the best coffee and carrot cake in town are going to go really well together.. :))

Something other than women. Or children. :)

'New Orleans'. Again, a monotype image on paper, 14" x 17". (I am quite pleased with how the shadows turned out on this one.
